About Sybil
Sybil lives by this motto and took charge of her own destiny at a young age. She grew up in Victoria, British Columbia and earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria. Always one to work hard in the face of challenges, Sybil is thriving in the male dominated financial services industry. She grew from the role of a co-op student in 1994, to Executive Vice President at the leading independent wealth management firm in Canada, and is now focused on service other C-Suite executives as Senior Wealth Advisor and Portfolio Manager.
Sybil was recognized as Business Person of the Year by the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce in 2014 for her business acumen, dedication to mentoring others in business, and her tireless involvement within the community. She has also been recognized as one of Vancouver Island's Top 40 Under 40 for her success in the financial services industry and her passion for helping others. In 2019 Sybil was recognized as one of BC's Most Influential Women in Finance and in 2020 she received a Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Victoria.
Sybil’s financial expertise has been highlighted in many publications such as The Globe and Mail and Investment Executive. She is host and executive producer of the national television show The Wealthy Life, a talk-show aimed at helping people to make smarter financial decisions.
As an advocate for gender equality, Sybil authored a female empowerment book entitled The Female Edge. Through mentorship, sponsorship, charitable support to non-profits and speaking engagements, Sybil looks to change the status quo and empower women to seize opportunities.
Sybil is positive, optimistic and enthusiastic and believes you can accomplish whatever your heart desires. She is married to her soulmate and they have a son pursuing a Business Degree while on a lacrosse scholarship in Philadelphia They enjoy staying active, giving back to the community and living a life with purpose.
